SHAWN  PULLMAN

Shawn Michael Pullman, 33, of Quincy, died at 5:27 p.m. Sunday (November 15, 2015) in his home.

Born July 20, 1982 in Quincy, Shawn was the only son of Wayne and Mitzie Powell Pullman.

Shawn was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved duck, goose and deer hunting with his friends, but his best friend was the first one in the truck with him, his dog "Bo". When he came home his other two buddies, "Harley" and "Milo" were always there to greet him. In the spring, Shawn loved to go mushroom hunting, making sure that his great uncles would always have the first mess of his find.  Shawn also loved to fish. When his catch was large enough, he would have a big fish fry and invite all of his family and friends to share with him.

Shawn loved having his family and friends around. He was a kind, loving and generous man and was very protective of his Mom, Dad and Grandma Connie.

Shawn worked Construction since he was 17 years old. He worked everything from concrete, home building and was currently employed as a roofer for Reeves Reliable Roofing.

Survivors include his parents, Wayne and Mitzie Pullman of Quincy; his maternal grandmothers, Connie Powell of Littleton, IL and Judy Bowen of Quincy; two step sisters, Michelle Hedges (Ronnie) and Amanda Bowen both of Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Creed and Abby Hedges and Dominic and Lexi Randolph; an Aunt, Angela Hale (John); five Uncles, Douglas Powell Jr. (Sandy), Mike Powell, Marlon Tournear (Laura), Mark Tournear (Leanne) and Jim Pullman; many loving great aunts, great uncles and cousins, including a very special cousin, Susan Meyer and her daughter, Hadley Jo; and a very dear friend, Danielle Duffy.

Shawn was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Douglas Powell Sr.; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Mary Reinheimer; an Aunt, Becky Powell; and several great aunts and great uncles.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Schluckebier officiating.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Thursday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family to help pay expenses.
