   Elma Marie Epperson, 94, of Maryville, Missouri, formerly of Quincy, died at 11:23 p.m. Thursday (November 19, 2015) at the Golden Living Center in Maryville, Missouri.

   Born February 21, 1921 in Quincy, Elma was the daughter of Fred and Blanche Keppner Brickman.  She married Harley Epperson Jr. on August 24, 1940 in Quincy.  He preceded her in death on June 28, 2015.

   Elma was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ, where she had been active with the Evening Guild. She enjoyed bird watching and cherished the time she spent with her family. She made excellent jelly and pies and canned what Harley grew in the garden.

   Elma joined her husband and father in law in the family business, Epperson's Shoe Repair at 1735 Broadway. In 1963, she and her husband Harley, purchased a parcel at 1220 Broadway and built a Butler building where they operated Epperson's Shoe Repair, Lawnmower and Saw Service. Elma and Harley served the Quincy community as small business owners for over 60 years.

   Survivors include a daughter Jan Austin Bayless (Bob) of Mill Valley, California; her son Cael Kendall (Rebecca) of Charlottesville, Virginia and their two children Opal, nine and Zeb, six; a daughter, Nancy Foley of Maryville, Missouri; her sons Justin Foley (Laura) of Columbia, Missouri and their son David, three; Trevor Foley (Kami) from Jefferson City, Missouri and their two children Teagan, six and Tenley, nineteen months; a son Denny Epperson (Bonnie) of Santa Barbara, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Epperson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 74 years, Harley; a sister, Ella Gunn (Jim); and three brothers, Edwin Brickman (Beryl), Roy Brickman (Nita) and Earl Brickman (Darlene; Harriett).

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Jan Johnson.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.
