JEAN A. EAGER

   Jean A. Eager ,85, of Quincy, died at 10:15 a.m. Saturday (November 21, 2015) at Blessing Hospital.

   Born February 10, 1930  in Marblehead, Illinois, Jean was the daughter of John and  Martha Goodwin Benjamin.  She married Glenn E. Eager on February 18, 1983 in Quincy.  He preceded her in death on July 22, 2002.

   Jean volunteered at the Senior Center serving meals, calling Bingo, and doing whatever was needed.  She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, fishing, watching NASCAR, and was an avid Cub fan.  Jean also volunteered at St. Mary and Blessing Hospitals.  Jean was employed in maintenance for Quincy Theaters.  

   Survivors include a daughter, Sally Hogan of Quincy; a son Daniel Watson (Beatrice) of Bakersfield, CA; five step-daughters, Michelle Parks of Parks, CO, Deborah McCormick and  Rachel Aman both of Quincy, Wendy Catasno of Columbus, MO, and Mary Wittler of Grants Pass, OR; a daughter-in-law, Sherri Watson of Shelbina, MO; a sister, Gladys Sander (Ray) of Moline, IL;  seventeen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.  

   Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn; a son, Michael Watson; nine brothers; and three sisters.  

   Graveside Services  will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 at Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veteran's Home with Reverend George Tomko officiating.  

  There will be no visitation but friends are invited to attend the the graveside service.

   Memorials may be made to the Jean Eager Memorial Fund.

   Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
