HAROLD  A.  HINKAMPER

   Harold A. Hinkamper, 71, of Quincy, died at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday (February 17, 2016) in Good Samaritan Home.

   Born June 8, 1944 in Quincy, Harold was the son of Frank and Dorothy Heckle Hinkamper.  He married Lynda J. Reinberg on November 9, 1963 in Quincy.  She survives.

   Harold was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and the South Side Boat Club. He loved being outdoors, especially working in his yard and gardens. Harold was one who never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

   Harold was employed for 33 years with Huck Fixture Company and was later employed with Quincy Metal Fabricators for 14 years until his retirement.

   Survivors include his wife, Lynda; three children, Lisa McCormick (Jon) of Lenexa, KS, Kevin Hinkamper (Andrea) of Wilbraham, MA and Amy Noble (Steve) of Jefferson City, MO; six grandchildren, Emma Hinkamper, Abigail Hinkamper, Maggie Noble, Connor McCormick, Katie McCormick and Christopher McCormick; a brother, Edward Hinkamper of Quincy; his mother in law, Arlene Reinberg of Quincy; a brother-in-law, Dave Reinberg of Quincy; a sister-in-law, Sharon Reinberg of Quincy; his best friend, Kenny Phillips of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mr. Hinkamper was preceded in death by his parents; and his father in law, Edward Reinberg.
  
   Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Martin Eden.  Burial in Greenmount Cemetery will be private.  

   There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the services.

   Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital Midwest Affiliate in Peoria, Illinois.

I'm so sorry for your family's loss. I truly enjoyed taking care of of Harold while he was at Blessing Hospital. He will be missed by all of the 3 North staff here at Blessing Hospital.

Lynda, we are so very, very sorry! We had no idea Harold had been ill or in Good Samaritan Home, or Butch would have gone to visit with him.
We certainly have you (and your family even though we don't know them personally) in our prayers!
