   Brian L. Simpson, 42, of Quincy, died at 11:55 p.m. Thursday (April 14, 2016) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born April 9, 1974 in Quincy, Brian was the son of William and Lucille Saylor Simpson.  He was formerly married to Chrissi Bolte.

   Brian attended Highland High School in Ewing, Missouri and graduated from Quincy High School in 1992.  He was a member of the Machinist Lodge No. 822 and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, archery and shooting trap.

   Brian had been employed as a welder at Hollister Whitney.

   Survivors include his daughters, Hayley and Hannah Simpson both of Quincy; his sister, Barbara Griffin of Mendon; his brother, William "Bill" Simpson (Maureen) of Candler, NC; his ex-wife, Chrissi Coram (Jerry); and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Brian was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Ron Griffin; and two half brothers, Joe and Ronnie Wand.

   Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.

   Memorials may be made to the Children's Education Fund in care of the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, 1435 State Street, Quincy, IL 62301.

Brain and I were in many classes together in high school. He was a great guy, I loved his laugh. I would like to send love and prayers to his family.
