LINDA LOU MEYERS

   Linda Lou Meyers, 65, of Quincy, died at 12:05 a.m. Friday (April 15, 2016) in Marshalltown, Iowa.

   Born January 12, 1951, in Quincy, Linda was the daughter of George and Ruby Vollbracht Gibleon.  She married David Meyers on January 23, 1971, in Quincy.  He survives.

   A 1969 graduate of Quincy High School, Linda enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, going to the casino and was an avid Bingo player.  She also enjoyed watching Nascar, mowing the lawn on her riding lawn mower and watching and feeding the birds in her yard.  Linda was a great wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the time she spent with her family.

   Survivors include her husband, David; a daughter, Mindy Lent (Benjamin) of Marshall, MO; two grandchildren, Haylee and Isaac Lent of Marshall, MO; three brothers, Larry Gibleon (Jackie), Elmer Gibleon (Linda) and Glenn Gibleon (Ann) all of Quincy; three sisters-in-law, Patricia Gibleon of Quincy, Judy Mason of Quincy and Carolyn Mesmer (Maurice) of Ewing, MO; and several loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Meyers was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Gibleon.

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Woodrow Burt officiating.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.  

   Memorials may be made to the Grandchildren's Education Fund.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. Linda was a very fun person to be with. Loved going to Vegas with her and Francis. Had some good times Enjoyed playing Bingo... She will be sadly missed...
