   LaMona Kay Kistner, 81, of Quincy, a former Liberty resident, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, at 6:04 p.m. Sunday (June 5, 2016).  

   Born July 28, 1934 in Quincy, LaMona was the daughter of Voyd K. and Joye F. Oitker Neece. She married Ronald Kistner on July 4, 1953 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2006.

   LaMona was a woman of unwavering faith and was a member of  The Crossing Church.  She loved to study the Bible and had attended Cursillo. Her greatest love was the Lord, her husband Ronald, and her family. LaMona was an avid reader and also enjoyed dancing, watching birds, painting ceramics, arts and crafts, writing poetry and playing cards with family and friends. She will be remembered as a woman with a gentle soul and a warm heart.  

   A 1952 graduate of Liberty High School, LaMona worked various part-time jobs and for many years volunteered at Blessing Hospital, delivering flowers and mail, working in the Tea Room and writing their newsletter.  She dedicated most of her life to her husband and children as a homemaker.

    Survivors include her five children, Vicky Neiswender (Randy), Ronda Moore, David Kistner (Connie), Diane Zoller (Mark) and Kenny Kistner all of Quincy; eight grandchildren, Angela Hendrix, Jennifer Neiswender, Nicole Phillips (Tean), Christopher Kistner, Ashlee Zoller, Megan Kistner and Paige Moore all of Quincy and Laurie Cobern (Archie) of Loraine, IL; fourteen great grandchildren; a brother, Keith Neece (Donna) of Quincy; a sister, Christie Cogburn (Don) of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Lamona was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; and a sister, Charlotte Joe Palmer.

   Services to Celebrate the life of LaMona will be held Friday morning at 11:00 at The Crossing Church on 48th and Maine in Quincy with Pastor Jon Mitchell officiating.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at The Crossing Church, 48th and Maine.

   The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

   Memorials may be made to Unity Point Hospice or the Parkinson's Foundation.                     .
