An avid outdoorsman, Jim loved to hunt and fish, especially fishing for catfish at the pond with Carrie.

Jim will be remembered for having a "Farmer's Heart" and loved working on the farm tending to their livestock.  Jim was also employed in construction for Chester Bross Construction Company of Hannibal since 2009.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie; two children, Nicolas Wright of St. Joseph, MO and Hattie Wright of Shelbyville, MO; four sisters, Goldie Knuffman and Phyllis Cheney both of Quincy, Sherry Bartz (Wayne) of Maywood, MO and Dorothy Walton (Ricky) of LaGrange, MO; a sister in law, Denise Wright (Scott McKee) of Hamburg, IL; two brothers in law, Daniel Loos (Karessa) of Quincy and Michael Hickerson of Plainville, IL; his father in law and mother in law, Dennis and Carolyn Loos of Bethel, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Norman Jones; two sisters, Sue Walton and Mary Ellen Hickerson; and a brother in law, Butch Knuffman.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery, LaBelle, Missouri.

Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

Because cancer has touched many of Jim's family and friends, memorials may be made to the Blessing Cancer Center.
