BUD  FLOREA  JR.

   Lloyd E. "Bud" Florea Jr., 73, of Quincy, died at 5:28 p.m. Wednesday (August 17, 2016) at the Illinois Veterans Home.

   Born February 10, 1943 in Quincy, Bud was the son of Lloyd E. and Shirley Threw Florea Sr.  

   Mr. Florea served his country as a photographer in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  

   Bud was a member of Union Local 1787. An avid wood carver, Bud also enjoyed stock car racing and having a good time with family and friends.

   Bud was employed as a CNA for 14 years at the Illinois Veterans Home, retiring in 2001.

   Survivors include two sons, Bradley Florea of Quincy and Jason Florea of Quincy; a daughter, Angela Bevans (Mike) of Payson, IL; six grandchildren, Brittany Florea of Streator, IL, Taylor Little of Springfield, IL, Danielle Bevans, Michael Bevans, Allison Bevans and Arica Bevans all of Payson; three brothers, Bob Allen of Quincy, Billy Joe Florea (Jeanne) of Quincy and Floyd Allen (Sue) of Las Vegas, NV; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Bud was preceded in death by his parents; his step father, Wiley Allen; and a grandson, Aaron Bevans.

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the All Faiths Chapel at the Illinois Veterans Home with Pastor David Hall officiating.  Burial with Military Honors by the Scott Air Force Base Funeral Detail and IVHQ Honor Guard will be in Sunset Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at All Faiths Chapel.

   Arrangements are in the care of Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy.

   Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Home Activity Fund.
