   Mary E. Loop, 89, of Quincy died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday (August 28, 2016) in Good Samaritan Home.

   Born March 6, 1927, in Brown County, Illinois, Mary was the daughter of Harm and Ellen Tournear Cross Kaufman.  She married Chester A. Loop on July 16, 1947 in Rushville, Illinois.  He preceded her in death in 1969.

   Mary enjoyed the dances at the American Legion Club and had been employed at various restaurants and then at Willy's Cafe and Irene's Cabaret until her retirement.

   Survivors include two sisters, Helen Baldwin of Quincy and Shirley Knight of Canton, MO; one brother, Harm "Danny" Kaufman (Glenna) of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Loop was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Betty Forrest and Donna Klossing; one brother, Willard Kaufman; two sisters in infancy, Esther Lucille and Carol Jean Kaufman; one brother in infancy, Herman Dennis Kaufman; two brothers-in-law, Elmo Knight and Richard Baldwin; and one nephew, Ricky Knight.

   Graveside services will be held Thursday morning at 11:45 in Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point, Illinois, with Rev. V. Lee Amsler officiating.

   Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9:00 until 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

   Memorials may be made to the Blessing Cancer Center.

   The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

My Deepest sympathy to the family of Mary. She was a very compassionate lady and funny too. She made us all laugh and we are going to miss her dearly. Rest in peace, Mary.
