Florence and I met and became friends when I returned from teaching in China; we had many experiences in common. She has left a rich legacy for her family. But most of all she is in Jesus' presence now and that is our comfort in losing her.

A dear sweet lady has gone to be with the Father. I will miss you Florence. I have fond memories of you from a young child coming to the A/G church in Macomb. Telling of your minister in and throughout Africa. But most of all I think I will miss hearing you play your Kanan lap harpsichord instrument. I so enjoyed you playing and singing. But I'm sure your are singing with the angles by now. Condolences to your many family members. So sorry for your loss but in a much glorious place.

It was a privilege to attend church with her at Macomb Assembly of God. Florence was a dedicated servant of the Lord Jesus, unafraid to express her opinion with well-written letters to the editor. She was a woman of prayer and strong faith. Her reward is to be with Jesus and here the words "well done good and faithful servant." Rest in peace and glory; we will miss you my friend.
