   Edna Mae Dasch McAfee, 84, of Quincy, died at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (November 15, 2016) in the Illinois Veteran's Home.

   Born September 25, 1932, in Troy, Missouri, Edna was the daughter of Robert and Nettie Starkey Bright.  She married Donald L. Dasch on August 13, 1960 in Quincy and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1997.  She later married Billy McAfee and he also preceded her in death on February 13, 1999.

   Edna was an Illinois Veteran's Home volunteer and was active in her church.  She enjoyed playing bingo and gin rummy and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

   Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Jo Crabbe (David) of Quincy; two sons, Kevin Dasch (Becky) and Scott Dasch (Norma) both of Quincy; six grandchildren, Melissa, Bobby Lee, Jeffrey, Kevin Lee, Shawn, Amber and Maverick; eight great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Grace Bright of Troy, MO; and several loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. McAfee was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Donald and Billy; one son, Donald Dasch Jr; four brothers, Lewis, Harry, Marvin and Robert Bright; and one sister, Florence Bright.

   Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 in the All Faiths Chapel at the Illinois Veteran's Home with Rev. Donald Blickhan officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.

   Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9:00 until the time of services in the All Faiths Chapel.

   Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veteran's Home Activity Fund.

   The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

So sorry to learn of my Aunt Mae's passing. Even though, far too many years have passed since we last saw each other, I still remember. May GOD bring the family comfort and peace.
