NANCY E. PRIEPOT

   Nancy Elaine Priepot, 86, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Quincy and St. Louis, Missouri, died Thursday (January 19, 2017) in her home.

   Born October 20, 1930, in Quincy, Nancy was the daughter of Richard and Abbie Riesebieter Mihlhauser.  She married Adam J. Priepot in Quincy and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2013.

  Elaine was a 1948 graduate of Quincy High School and was very active in the music department.  She was formerly a member of Luther Memorial Church and the Lutheran Church in Florissant, Missouri, where she sang in the church choirs.  Elaine enjoyed decorating her home with flowers and she loved animals.

   Elaine had been employed at the Christian Hospital NE in Florissant, Missouri, for 15 years and in Quincy at Channel 10 WGEM TV for several years until her retirement.

   Survivors include a son, Shawn Priepot (Lisa) of St. Charles, MO; several loving nieces and nephews including, David Gross (Diane), Lori Gross Stimac, Kayla Burgesser (Zac), Dawn Boyer (Scott), Denise Meyers (Glenn) and Doug McGartland; two sisters-in-law, Cheryl McGartland (Paige) and Norma Harvey (Richard); two brothers-in-law, Don Priepot (Linda) and Ron Lunsford; and several loving cousins.

   Mrs. Priepot was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Walter Gross.

  Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday morning until the time of services.

   Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Hospice.

My sympathy to Elaine's son and Family.
Elaine was a loyal and cherished member of QHS 1948 Class. I have missed her phone calls which came periodically from her Florida home.
