   Harold Walter Kroner, 89, of Quincy, died at 6:50 a.m. Saturday (January 28, 2017) in the North Adams Home in Mendon.

   Born October 29, 1927 in Quincy, Harold was the son of Lawrence E. and Eleanor Peters Kroner.  He attended St. Mary's Elementary School and was a graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School. Harold was married to Marilyn Milbert and to that union came four children, Janet, John, Jim and Jeff.

   Harold was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, raising rabbits and in his younger years he enjoyed bowling.

   Harold was employed as a welder for Knapheide Manufacturing, a service man for Stroot Hardware and for Coit Drapery while living in Quincy. He later worked in the maintenance department for IMCO in Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement.

   Survivors include four children, Janet Wessley (Charles) of Gladstone, MO,  John Kroner (Shirley) of Fowler, IL, Jim Kroner (Donna) of Polo, MO and Jeff Kroner of Camp Point, IL; ten grandchildren, Amy Divine (Thomas), Chad Wessley, Lori Dawson (Troy), Nicole Brenciaglia; Dan Kroner (Anne Reyes), David Kroner, Brent Kroner (Angela), Arron Kroner, Mindy Beckwith (Thomas) and Jamie Jenkins (Mike); seventeen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a brother, Lawrence Kroner Jr. of Midland, MI; a sister, Marian Schutte of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mr. Kroner was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter in infancy, Mary Kroner; and a daughter in law, Brenda Kroner; a brother in law, Russell Schutte; and a sister in law, Delores Kroner.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and at 10:30 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Kuse officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Thursday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

   Memorials may be made to North Adams Home or Blessed Sacrament Church.
