RUBY  L.  GRIMMER

   Ruby L. Grimmer, 103, of Grovetown, Georgia, formerly of Quincy and Springfield, Illinois, died peacefully at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (February 25, 2017) at her home.

   Born March 26, 1913 in Augusta, Illinois, Ruby was the daughter of  Arthur G. and Addie Judy Huff.  She married Donald R. Grimmer on March 2, 1929 in Jacksonville, Illinois.  He preceded her in death on September 3, 1994.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Schoonover of  Grovetown, GA; three granddaughters, Kathryn Lee Schlueter and her husband, Dr. Jeff Schlueter of Joshua, TX, Diana Lynn Bethel and her husband, James D. of Millen, GA and  Deborah Burke and her husband, Alan of Grovetown, GA; six great grandchildren; Jennifer Rotundo of Burleson, TX, William Scott Anderle of Joshua, TX, Joseph Donald Bethel of Millen, GA, Jack Travis Bethel of Millen, GA, Austin Alan Burke of Grovetown, GA, and Daniel Bryce Burke of Grovetown, GA; six great great grandchildren; Christopher Clark, Jacob Anderle, Gracie Anderle, Sophie Bethel, Sydney Bethel, and Zoey Bethel; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; her son in law, Brig.  Major  General William R. Schoonover; and three brothers, Herschel "Bud" Huff, R. Glen Huff and L. Everett Huff; and a sister, Ruth Koch.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 in St. John's  Parish, 701 Hampshire, Quincy, Illinois with Father Patrick Smith officiating.  Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Quincy.
  
   Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and Thursday morning from 10:30 until the time of services at St. John's  Parish.

   Memorials may be made to the Church of Our Savior, 4227 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA 30907.
