MARGIE  I.  HICKERSON

   Margie Irene Hickerson, 92, of Quincy, died at 11:07 a.m. Thursday (March 2, 2017) in Sunset Home.

   Born March 20, 1924 in Bluff Hall, Illinois, Margie was the daughter of Robert and Ada Huston Morgan. She married Gerald Ellis "Pat" Hickerson in Hannibal, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 1, 2016.

   Margie enjoyed sewing, tending to her garden and cooking, but her family always came first. She loved babysitting for her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she cherished every moment she was able to spend with her family.

   Survivors include two sons, Roger Hickerson (Cheryl) of Payson and Patrick "Skip" Hickerson (Marsha) of Quincy; two daughters, Patricia Wells (Eddie) and Sue Crossan (Richard) both of Quincy; eight grandchildren, Caroline Ripper (Dean) of Quincy, Jeff Wells (Monica) of Quincy, Tami Wisely (Todd) of Coatsburg, Stacy Smith (Dan) of Quincy, Brent Hickerson (Brandy) of Quincy, Jeremy Crossan (Chris) of Coatsburg, IL, Kelli Platt (Teddy) of Hull and Erik Hickerson of Durham, MO; twenty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
  
   Mrs. Hickerson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald "Pat" Hickerson; four brothers, Jessie Morgan, Oscar Morgan, Fred Morgan and Wayne Morgan; a sister, Helen Fowler; a nephew, Charles Dyer; and two nieces, Judith Simpson and Doris Fowler.

   Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Greenmout Cemetery.

   Visitation will be held Monday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to Unity Point Hospice.
