   Rose Mary Law, 81, of Quincy died at 5:31 p.m. Friday (March 31, 2017) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born March 23, 1936, in Ripley, Illinois, Rose was the daughter of Richard and Hazel Lamma Flesner.  She married Dale Stephen Law on October 1, 1955, in Columbus, Illinois and he survives.

   Rose was a 1954 graduate of Camp Point High School and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was first employed at Motorola and upon its closing began working at St. Mary's Hospital.  Rose was later employed as a CNA at the Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy for 10 years until her retirement.  After her retirement, she worked as a Crossing Guard for Quincy public schools.

   Survivors include her husband, Dale; a daughter, Catherine Lorenson (Ron) of Quincy; two sons, Steven Law (Sherry) of Quincy and Michael Law of Henderson, NV; seven grandchildren, Christine Geschwandner of Quincy, Nicole Cassady (Brandon) of Quincy, Gregory Law of Scottsdale, AZ, Jennifer Alexander (Anthony) of Orlando, FL, Erin Smutz (Lane) of Dallas, TX, Michelle Law of Quincy and Cody Lorenson of Quincy; six great grandchildren, Devin, Abby, Colin, Sydaleigh, Alaina and A.J.; a half sister, Evelyn Hollander of Quincy; and several loving nieces and nephews.

   Rose was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Patricia Novak; a brother, DuWayne Flesner; and a daughter-in-law, Lorri Law.

   Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

   Cremation rites have been accorded to Rose.  Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 11:30 in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating.

   Memorials may be made to the Rose Mary Law Memorial Fund or to the Quincy Humane Society.
