   Deanna R. Butler, 70, of Quincy, died at 4:27 p.m. Saturday (April 1, 2017) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born November 25, 1946 in Quincy, Deanna was the daughter of Lyndle and Henrietta Fossell Stanbridge.  She married Jimmie D. Butler on November 24, 1978 in Quincy.  He preceded her in death on November 15, 2013.

   Deanna was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing Solitaire on her Kindle and in her younger years she enjoyed playing softball and bowling in various leagues.

   A 1964 graduate of Unity High School in Mendon, Deanna was employed at Quincy Paper Box for many years until their closing. She later was employed at Harris Manufacturing where she was a supervisor in cables and assembly until her retirement in 2009.

   Survivors include three children, J. R. Deeter (Kim) of Belton, MO, Brenda Knaff of Quincy and Brad Deeter (Krista) of Quincy; five grandchildren, Karla Hickman (Brent) of Grandview, MO, Eric Deeter (Danielle) of Quincy, Patrick Deeter of Kansas City, MO, Ashley Deeter of Quincy and Alyssa Deeter of Quincy; two sisters, Lynda Stanbridge of Chandler, AZ and Vickie Tipton (James) of Quincy; a brother in law, Howard Junk of Quincy; many loving nieces and nephews; her faithful companion and little buddy, "Chip"; and the Butler family, her extended family on Jimmie's side.

   Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmie; and a sister, Janet Junk.

   Cremation has been accorded to Deanna.  Memorial graveside services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in Greenmount Cemetery with the Rev. Timothy White officiating.  

   There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside services.  

   Arrangements are in the care of Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

   Memorials may be made to the North Adams Home Special Care Unit.

Deanna was a fun; loving; and caring sister-in-law. When Jim was alive, they could really keep you laughing. They made a good they are together. What a reunion that must have been....the joy of this whole thing is that they are not apart anymore.
Weeping endureth the night but JOY cometh in the morning!!

We are so sorry for your loss. Many prayers to the family. Every trip that I make to Quincy, I always think of my Butler family in Quincy. Many memories were made at Aunt Maurine and Uncle Jap's house in Quincy. God Bless each and everyone. Phil and Brenda Leatherman & family

Deanna was a good friend to many of us here at Harris we had a lot of fun!
and i was also lucky enough to have her as one of my dearest friends Mother.
