MYRNA  J.  CRAWFORD

   Myrna J. Crawford, 81, of Quincy, died at 4:50 a.m. Thursday (April 6, 2017) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born November 14, 1935 in Piedmont, Missouri, Myrna was the daughter of Milford and Olive Sheppard Meador.  She married Dillard Deen Crawford on October 6, 1960 in Quincy.  He preceded her in death on June 22, 1987.

   Myrna was a fan of Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr., Elvis Presley and the St. Louis Cardinals but the great love in her life were animals. Myrna had many pets which she loved and cared for and was a member and supporter of the ASPCA and PETA.

   Myrna was employed for over 30 years as a secretary with the Texas Children's Protective Services. She moved back to Quincy following her retirement.

   Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Meier of Quincy; four grandchildren, Matthew Meier (Amber), Samantha Meier (Clinton Kinard), Danielle Terwelp (Keith) and Jennifer Kelly; seven great grandchildren, Nathaniel Meier, Aiden Meier, Jordan Kinard, Wyatt Terwelp, Maddox Terwelp, Peyton Kelly and Paige Kelly; her sister, Ida J. Manlove of Quincy; a niece, Angela Quincy; a nephew, Bud Manlove; three great nieces and great nephews; and her close friends, Jan Brown, Terry Steffen and Trecia Miller.

   Myrna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dillard; and a son, Marc Crawford.

   Services will be private.

   Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society in care of Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, 1435 State Street, Quincy, IL 62301.
