  Ronald Lee Taylor, 71 of Taylor, Missouri passed away at 10:02 p.m. Friday (June 9, 2017) in Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.

   Ron was born December 22, 1945 in Quincy the son of Noel and Gladys Weichmann Taylor.

   Ron was known by all his nieces and nephews as Uncle Butch, but to his friends he was known at R. T.  He was a true car guy.  He was active in drag racing in his younger years and loved playing pool and fishing.  He worked as a mechanic and later as a auto body man.  

  Mr. Taylor is survived by a daughter; Toni Taylor of Quincy; three sons Scott Taylor (Chris) of Florissant, CO, Lee Scott (Lisa) of Troy, Missouri and Ronald Wierschem of Florissant, CO; a grandson Alex Politano and a granddaughter Haley Crawford and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Nancy Kramer and Mary Lou Stover, one brother Don Taylor, one half-brother Richard Whitaker and one-half sister Sylvia Stewart.
   A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

   Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will take place Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Greenmount Cemetery.

  Memorials may be made to the Ron Taylor Memorial Fund.

Ron was a great guy n friend, am glad I got to spend time with him, we both enjoyed the cars n racing. He'll be missed by alot of us. Rev that motor up when u enter to those gates. Always ur friend, Larry Skirvin
