     Benjamin Farley Ward, 33, of Payson, died at 1:14 p.m. on Tuesday (July 18, 2017) in his home.

     Born July 31, 1983 in Quincy, Illinois, Uncle Benny was the son of Edward P. Ward. Uncle Benny was raised by his beloved paternal grandmother Freda Ward, along with his step parents, Sherry and Donald Stolte.

     A 2001 graduate of Payson Seymour High School, Uncle Benny was employed at the Bunge Grain Elevator in Hull, Illinois as a maintenance man. He was also employed as a pyrotechnic engineer. He enjoyed tinkering, fireworks, working on cars, and construction.
    Survivors include one brother; Darren Stolte (Vivian) of Payson, IL, his step parents; Donald and Sherry Stolte of Midland, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

    Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his father, Edward Ward, and his paternal grandparents, Freda and Ernest Ward.

    Cremation has been accorded to Uncle Benny.

    A celebration of Ben's life will be held at the Stolte's residence (1203 North 350th Avenue, Payson, IL. 62360) on Saturday July 29th. The celebration will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will include fireworks in Ben's honor. All friends and family are welcome. Please call (217) 592-2133 for further information.

I was very sorry to hear of Ben's passing. We shared a very special grandmother. Ben will be missed by all close to him.
