SHARON G. HULL

Sharon G. Hull, 62, of Quincy, passed away at 7:15 a.m. Thursday (July 27, 2017) in her home.

Born February 9, 1955 in Pittsfield, Illinois, Sharon was the daughter of Kenneth and Carol O'Neal Helkey.  She married Ed Hull on April 28, 2000 in Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy.  He survives.

Faith and family were most important to Sharon. She was a lifelong member of Madison Park Christian Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Cornerstone Sunday School Class.  She enjoyed reading, family camping trips, taking walks and riding bikes with Ed and she cherished every moment she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sharon was employed at Illinois State Bank and Boatman's Bank until 1997 when she moved to the Accounting Department at Kirlin's where she worked until her retirement in 2017 because of her health.

Survivors include her husband, Ed; her parents, Kenneth and Carol Helkey of Quincy; two children, Dana Golden (Dan) of Quincy and  Cory Wright of Madison, WI; two grandchildren, Casey Golden and Kelly Golden; three step children, Jason Hull and Nick Hull both of Quincy and Tracy Schoonover (Jerry) of Ursa, IL; five step grandchildren, Madi Hull, Sydney Hull, Dylan Schoonover, Blake Schoonover and Cole Schoonover; two brothers, Stanley Helkey (Jill) of Quincy and Steven Helkey (Bev) of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents.

A service to celebrate Sharon's life will be held on Monday morning at 10:30 in Madison Park Christian Church with Pastor Chuck Sackett and Pastor Keith Ehresman officiating.  Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 at Madison Park Christian Church and Monday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the church.

Arrangements are in the care of the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Koduru and his team, the staff at Blessing Cancer Center and the amazing caregivers with UnityPoint at Home.

Memorials may be made to Madison Park Christian Church.

Those we love don't go away,
They walk besides us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family
