DONNA  BABB

   Donna Lea Babb, 78, formerly of Quincy, passed away at 9:15 p.m. Friday (November 3, 2017) with her family by her side at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri.

   Born September 19, 1939 in Plymouth, Illinois, Donna was the daughter of Donald Ellis and Hazel Florence Wolfe Lord. She married Charles William Babb on August 9, 1958 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2000.

   Donna was an avid reader and loved painting and playing card games. She will be remembered for her cooking and baking.  Donna cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.

   A 1957 graduate of Quincy High School, Donna was employed at State Street Store and later for Bergner's where she was a sales clerk in the Jewelry Department for many years until her retirement. She resided in Orange Park, Florida for several years following her retirement.

   Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Crnic (Jim) of Kirksville, MO, Theresa Hediger (Mark) of Marlborough, MA and Kathryn Ellis of Chester Springs, PA; nine grandchildren, Cori Brown (Damon), Jeffry Cox (Christy), Gregory Cox (Sarah), Alexandra Bidawid (fiance', Chris Hammond), Carson Bidawid, Dominique Bidawid, Landon Bidawid, Cole Hediger and Madison Hediger; two great grandchildren, Elodie Cox and Liam Brown; two brothers, William Lord of Thonotossa, FL and Joseph Lord (Pamm) of Plainville, IL; a sister, Carol Sue Raymond of Orange Park, FL; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; a sister, Shirley Lord; and two brothers, Jerry Lord in infancy and Larry Lord.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Tomko officiating.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

    Visitation will be Thursday afternoon from 1:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Quincy Public Library.
