LYNDLE  FESLER  JR.

   Lyndle Fesler Jr., beloved father, grandfather and Vietnam Veteran, SGT, HHC 5TH ENGR BN USATC ENGR FORSCOM FC, went to be with the Lord on Monday (November 6, 2017) at 9:23 p.m.
   Lyndle was born July 14, 1952 in Quincy, the son of Lyndle A. and Betty Lee Baker Fesler Sr.  He served his country enlisting in Vietnam at age 17 with his parents consent, and was honorably discharged receiving medals after his barracks came under fire.
    Lyndle leaves three sons, Keven Allen Fesler of Macon MO, Philip Lee Fesler of Greenville IL and Steven Arron Fesler of Moberly MO; eleven grandchildren, Lars, Lee, Tiera, Joshua, David, Brooklynne, Shayla, Alex, Angel, Alana, and Tatiana Fesler.  Mr. Fesler had 5 siblings, Ruth Maxine, Sharon, John R. Fesler, Kathy (Fesler) Howard, Kelly (Fesler).
   Lyndle Fesler Jr. was preceded in death his mother, Betty (Baker) Fesler and father, Lyndle Fesler Sr.
   Lyndle Fesler Jr. was a great hard working father and married Joann Gregory for 17 years before their divorce. Lyndle never remarried teaching his sons, saying "Marriage is Forever." Lyndle stayed friends with Joann through-out his life, and stayed as a constant presence in his children's lives and loved all his grandchildren, often wearing a T-shirt, "World's Best Grandpa."
   Lyndle was a man of meager means, who sought his wealth in the relationship with his family and would often set watching them in quiet reflection soaking in the time he shared with them.
He leaves this earth a war hero to his sons, and an avid fisherman teaching his boys the importance of family time by campfire and a fishing pole. We love you dad, until we see you in Heaven and join you by the campfire.
   Cremation has been accorded to Lyndle. Private memorial services will be held with inurnment with Military Honors in Sunset Cemetery in Quincy.
    The family asks for all memorials to made payable to Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, 1435 State Street, Quincy, IL 62301 to cover funeral expenses.
