SALLY ANN DEDERT

     Sally Ann Dedert, 79 of Quincy, died at 10:07 am Sunday (November 12, 2017) in Good Samaritan Home.

            Born May 22, 1938 in Quincy, Sally was the daughter of Walter Samuel and Esther Ellerbrock Behrens. She married Harvey Dedert on December 15, 1962 in Quincy at Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ. He survives.

          Sally was an active member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ where she was a member of the Evening Guild as well as the Salem Couples Club with her husband Harvey. Sally  served as a 4H Leader. She was a lifetime member of H.C.E. and was active in the Ellington School Parent Teacher Association. She enjoyed doing puzzles, shopping and crocheting.

           Mrs. Dedert was previously employed at Bernie Willer's Ice Cream Shops. She then worked for south Side Bank. Sally later worked for County Market in Quincy in the Deli and Catering Department until her retirement.  

          Survivors include her husband Harvey; her daughter Dr. Tammy Rogers (Paul) of Quincy; her brother James Behrens (Sharon) of Roanoke, VA as well as several loving nieces and nephews.

         Sally was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Jay Dedert and her sister Phyllis Herman.

         A memorial service will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Greenmount Cemetery.

     There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the memorial service at the Funeral Home.

        Memorials may be made to Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ.

        Arrangements are in the care of the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

Sorry to hear of Sally's passing, she was a good neighbor many years ago.

So sorry to hear about Sally's passing. I remember so well from my childhood. Always so nice and friendly. I remember wiener roasts at your farm. Always so much fun. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
