   Norma V. Rosendale, 93, of Quincy, died at 10:58 p.m. Sunday (November 19, 2017) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born August 11, 1924 in Ursa, Illinois, Norma was the daughter of James and Eva Miller Jackson.  She married Roy A. Rosendale on February 1, 1943 in Palmyra, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on April 26, 2013.

   Norma was a member of Luther Memorial Church, Elks Lodge No. 100, Quincy American Legion Auxiliary and the
V. F. W. Auxiliary.  An avid St. Louis Cardinals and Quincy Blue Devil Basketball fan, Norma also enjoyed reading, going to coffee with her friends and loved dancing with Roy.

   Norma was employed in the O.B. Department at St. Mary Hospital for 20 years until her retirement.

   Survivors include four children, Beverly Hickerson (James "Jim") of Garland, TX, Tanna Barry (Dan) of Quincy, Rebecca Kendall of Frisco, TX and Pamela Thornburg (Will) of Addison, IL; seven grandchildren, Kim Burwinkel (Tom), Kandi Ehrhart (Matt), Kari Hickerson, April Bergstrasser (Curt), Jon Milton (Diane), Nick Milton (Amy) and Jayme Thornburg (Kinbur); sixteen great grandchildren; fifteen great great grandchildren; a sister, Delores O'Conner of St. Louis, MO;
and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; a son in law, Norman Kendall; and a granddaughter, Lindsey Royal Thornburg; two brothers, Robert Jackson and Estil Jackson; and four sisters, Betty Warner, Rose Woodworth, Sarah Lock and Christina Lunt.

   Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Metz officiating.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to Luther Memorial Church, Blessing Foundation for Hospice or the Quincy Humane Society.

Bev, Tanna, Becky, and Pam. My heart goes out to you with prayers for comfort and strength at this time. Aunt Norma was great person and a favorite Aunt. I remember all the times at family reunions, birthday parties and summer visits with you guys. All great memories for sure. Take care and God Bless.

Aunt Norma Always had a smile for me every time I seen her. I will miss our Saturday evening phone calls with her. She never complained about anything. She was a little woman, but she stood tall, and stood her ground!
I will miss her forever. Love & hugs to you four girls
