I have a couple of really vivid memories of Allen, way back from church camp when we were probably just 12 or 13 years old. After that we always shared a bond that consisted of a nod and a smile. He always had a smile when we would cross paths and I would smile back. Seems so simple...sometimes not even a word was spoken but it still meant the same thing. It meant "Hey buddy, I remember when...". Rest in peace my friend.
