We are so very sad to hear of Uncle Roger's passing.

As his niece, I grew up around Uncle Roger and Aunt Patsy, and their home was always a nice place for children to be. I remember Uncle Roger's sense of humor, his love for a good joke, his wonderful cooking, but there was more. Uncle Roger was always patient with us children, even when once, I went into his basement workshop and nailed some boards together, trying to make something creative out of it, the way I'd seen him do. I didn't make anything recognizable but he just smiled about it. I didn't forget that kindness. He also loved to hear children's laughter, and when we were little he'd tickle our sides until we had fits of giggles.

Thank you Uncle Roger and Aunt Patsy for all the wonderful memories and always making us feel welcome in your home. We love you and you will always live in our hearts.

Mrs. Richard (Kimberly) Halliday and my brother, James Hastings Jr.

I remember kidding around with Roger in school - he was fun.
Some of his classmates (Class of 1962) spoke of his passing away
and we extend our sympathy to all of his family.      Class of 1962
