Mavis, you are in my thoughts and prayers with the passing of your mother.  I'm sorry for your loss as it leaves an empty spot in the heart. It's been a lot of years since I've seen her with their move out of Augusta but I remember her fondly. Please remember me to Sandy as I knew her when we were both working in Quincy and occasionally see each other when attending activities there.

Mavis, (and of course to everyone else too), -Your friends are certainly sorry to hear of your loss right now and we wish to send warm messages.  Despite a long journey of difficulty and discomfort, it must so very hard to lose your mom.  People are not always sure what to say, and sometimes it is awkward, but however it comes across please know that the folks around you care.  We hope to "make things better" with a kind word...and words so often escape us or fall short.  Please just know we are sad for the loss and eager to be helpful.  Janice's illness and decline was hard for her and also hard on those she loved too, and it can be some comfort that the pain and burdens she had to endure are over and she is not just at rest but in celebration with God.  I do hope that is of some comfort, but we realize it is a sad time.  Our thoughts, prayers and support are with you.  -Craig
