Phyllis, so sorry to hear the news of Russell. What a guy! Our son had just sent me an attachment of a flyer he saw about fishing at your place and recalled the fun times when we brought our kids to fish over there. I will get in touch with you later as I likely won't be able to make the service.

On behalf of all of the members of the Mississippi Valley Hunters and Fishermens Association we would like to extend our sympathy to the family of Russ. He will be missed and always livened up the meetings with his wit and "latest mission".

We are so terribly sorry to hear of Russell's passing.  He was such an inspiration to so many people.  The first fish Amber caught was in one of Russell's ponds on her first grade school picnic. He did so much to promote fishing among the young people.  We have two of his blue bird houses.  We enjoyed his poetry.  He lived such a full life; I know you have so many good memories.

Dear Phyllis and family,
The Darrell & Rosina Greenlee family send their deepest sympathy to you.  Mom and Dad spoke often of their time in LaGrange and it always included you guys.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Matt, I just read the obituary.  Your father was an amazing man, and I would have been honored to meet him.  I could tell when you spoke of him, that he helped define who you are, and I could see your pride.  I want to thank you for his service to his country and community.  He did his job and raised a good son.  I guarantee you he was very proud of what you have become... While looking at his picture, I can definitely tell why you are so ornery.
