Missy was my closest cousin and my oldest and dearest friend.  We grew up together playing on blankets next to ponds while our fathers fished.  We went to kindergarten and 1st grade together in Griggsville.  Even though our family moved away, we stayed in touch with letters (old school) and Christmas cards over the years in between visits.  Missy came to visit me in Tucson and talked me into test-driving and buying my first new car--a yellow 1977 Pontiac Firebird.  Over the past few years we have talked over the phone every month or two.  Missy loved sending cards and always included a picture of her kitty.  She was the most positive, optimistic person I have every known.  She found the good in everyone.  Even in the midst of health problems, she always seemed to look on the bright side or find the humor in every situation.  I will miss you, my friend.

Rest in peace, dear friend. Now you can see the word freely and be without restrictions. You were such a good natured soul and a loyal and true person. So glad we met all of those years ago and not only worked together but were true friends. It was an honor to have known you.  I will miss you.

My deepest sympathy to Missy Mize family. Beautiful woman, loved to travel, a smile to fill the room. Honored to have met and worked with her 1980-87 while at St Mary Hospital.
Missed on earth, always close to our hearts.
God Bless, rest in peace.
Jeannie
