|I am so sorry I won't be able to make the services. I work at Good Samaritan Home Beauty Shop. I used to do Connie's hair when she was there. She was a lovely lady and I enjoyed her very much. She was a special lady!

|To all of the Family - Connie and I had a special friendship. When she moved into the cottages at Good Samaritan Home we became fast friends. She loved all of her activity with the quilting and I was so very happy to help her deliver blankets and even pillows to the school kids at Baldwin School. She brought such joy and happiness to all of the kids who received her generous gifts from the quilting group at Good Samaritan Home. She talked to me often about how proud she was of each of you kids. I know she may not have always showed it to you but she loved to tell of your accomplishments. Please know her friendship meant a lot to me. I am sorry I am unable to be at her services. I retired a year ago and I am in Florida and not able to be there. I will keep all of you in my prayers.|

Connie was a great neighbor, and always had a smile and something nice to say.
She will be missed!!

Connie and I were room-mates at Carthage College, Carthage, IL in 1948
and both of us became high-school teachers of Home Economics. We and our husbands (also C.C. grads) were life-long friends and enjoyed many happy and memorable times together. I lost contact when she moved to Colorado. (I still use a candy thermometer she gave to me at my wedding!)I extend my condolences and prayers to her family, and have many very happy memories of both of your parents, Connie and Jim!
