
ALVERA K. CAMPBELL
Mrs. Alvera K. Campbell, 90, of Sunset Home, formerly of 527 Broadway, died at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday (April 10, 2007) in the home.
Born December 16, 1916, in Quincy, Alvera was the daughter of Charles and Theresa Rosenbusch Snyder. She married Howard "Ozzie" Campbell on July 29, 1940 in Palmyra, MO. He died January 5, 1982.
Alvera was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was a graduate of Quincy High School and she enjoyed playing bingo, pinochle and crocheting. She especially liked to crochet afghans for her granchildren.
She volunteered at St. Mary's School as a bookkeeper for the Hot Lunch Program and was employed at Davis-Cleaver for many years until her retirement in 1986.
Survivors include three sons, Denny Campbell and his wife Nancy of Coatsburg, Don Campbell and his wife Cindy of New London, MO, and Dave Campbell and his wife Brenda of Quincy; a daughter, Debbi Ingram of Granger, IN; 12 granchildren, Casey Campbell and his wife Sue of Camp Point, Lee Campbell and his wife Shelley of Quincy, Bryan Campbell and his wife Donna of Martin, TN, Brady Campbell of San Diego, CA, Jodi Freeman and her husband Eric of Streamwood, IL, Keli Kahs and her husband Jamie of Quincy, James Clark and his wife Courtni of Quincy, Tom Unglesbee of Hannibal, MO, Sean Unglesbee and his wife Jennifer of Hannibal, MO, and Josh, Tyler and Ashley Ingram all of Granger, IN; 21 great grandchildren; a brother Raymond Snyder of Albuquerque, NM; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, LeRoy Snyder and Charles Snyder; five sisters, Dorothy Dobiss, Theresa Forgy, Betty Sherrill, Marie Snyder and an infant sister Virginia Snyder.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Boniface Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament Parish at 7th and Main by Rev. John Carberry. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9:00 until the time of the services at the funeral home.
