ANITA L. WOODS
Mrs. Anita L. Woods, 65, of 1627 Melrose Drive, died at 6:35 p.m. Thursday (August 23, 2007) at Blessing Hospital.
Born September 20, 1941 in Quincy, Anita was the daughter of Charles and Velma Vestal Twyman. She was married to Donald Nutt. She married Larry Woods on December 1, 1975 in Quincy. He survives.
Anita was a member of The Crossing where she was active with small groups and Bible study groups. She enjoyed scrapbooking, but her greatest joy came in spending time with her family and friends.
Anita was employed as a school bus driver for 10 years until her retirement due to health reasons. She was previously employed at Quincy Paper Box, Motorola and Harris Corp. and owned and operated a daycare from her home for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; three daughters, Teri Schroder and her husband Jay of Quincy, Dawn Oberdahlhoff and her companion Chris Klinger of Wellsville, MO. and Carrie Weppler and her husband Matt of Quincy; a son, Kevin Nutt and his companion, Becky Gilker of Mendon; two step daughters, Lisa Davis and her husband Den and Laurie Ward and her husband Guy both of North Ft. Myers, FL.; seven grandchildren, Jason Schroder, Jaime Schroder, Amber Schroder, Alisha Oberdahlhoff, Nicole Luthin, Cheyenna Nutt and Landon Weppler; three step grandchildren, Ashley Davis, Clint Ward and Travis Ward; two great grandchildren, Kaylee Hiland and Alexis Bias; two brothers, James Twyman and his wife Louise of Des Moines, IA. and Ronald Twyman of Seattle, WA.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by her parents; her mother in law, Bernice Steffen; and a sister, Della Durcan.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Jerry Harris. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Monday until the time of services at the funeral home.
