ANN D. IRVIN

Mrs. Ann D. Irvin, 88, of the North Adams Home, formerly of 1707 Maple, died at 8:48 p.m. Saturday (July 23, 2005) at North Adams Home.

Born March 13, 1917 in rural Mendon, Ann was the daughter of Harry and Zela Taylor Ensminger. She married Kenneth E. Irvin on August 10, 1938 in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Irvin was a member of Union United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She loved music, especially listening to Elvis Presley and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Mrs. Irvin was employed in the store at the Illinois Veterans Home and then in the Central Supply Department at St. Mary Hospital for many years. She retired in 1981.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Stone and her husband John of Decatur, IL.; a son, Gary Irvin and his wife Vicky of Quincy; three grandchildren, Mark H. Stone and his wife Lynda of Inverness, FL., Amy Bishop and her husband Rick of Gallatin, TN. and Melissa Irvin of Hendersonville, TN.; six great grandchildren, Kristina Stone of Quincy, Mark Stone Jr. of Panama City, FL. , Anjyl Stone of Inverness, FL. and Christyn Keef and her husband Shane of Gainesville, FL., and Amanda Bishop and Emily Bishop both of Gallatin, TN.; a great great grandson, Tanner M. Stone of Quincy; a sister in law, Eunice Ensminger of Quincy;

Mrs. Irvin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Jennifer Irvin; and a brother, Russell Ensminger.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Morwell. Burial will be in the Loraine Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Union United Methodist Church or the North Adams Home.
