ANNA L. KRONER
Ms. Anna L. Kroner, 72, of Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 1313 N. 9th St., died at 4:35 p.m. Thursday (September 27, 2007) in the home.
Born October 9, 1934 in Louisiana, Missouri, Anna was the daughter of William E. and Beatrice Lawson Rue. She married Grover F. Thomas in April of 1951. He died in April of 1960. She then married Harold W. Kroner in 1962.
Ms. Kroner attended Quincy Public Schools and Quincy High School. She worked as a nursing assistant most of her life at Good Samaritan Home and the Illinois Veterans Home where she retired in 1978 because of her health. She was a honorary member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America and Missionary Oblates of Bellville, Illinois.
Surviving is a daughter, Charlotte Meyer and her husband Daniel of Hannibal; two sons, Grover F. Thomas and his wife Pam and H. Michael Kroner, both of Quincy; five grandchildren, Steven Thomas and his wife Summer, Joe Thomas and his wife Tisha and Theodore "Ted" Meyer and his wife Jennifer, all of Quincy, Amy Meyer of Hannibal, and Megan Meyer of Quincy; and nine great grandchildren, Steven Jr., Blaine, and Lakyn Thomas, Brittany Hess, Dalton Thomas, Allison and Gwendolyn Meyer, Alexis Cheney, and Noelan Meyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step father, Theodore R. Bloomfield; her husband Grover T. Thomas Sr.; and a grandson, Grover F. T. Thomas III.
Graveside services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 at Quincy Memorial Park by Rev. Henry Pratt.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 and Monday morning 10:15 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
