BETTY FEATHERINGILL

Betty Featheringill, 92, of Sunset Home, formerly of 928 Jackson, died at 3:43 a.m. Wednesday (July 1, 2009) at Sunset Home.

Born September 13, 1916 in Toledo, Ohio. Betty was the daughter of John M. and Erma Graff Goodapple. She married Philip J. Featheringill Sr. on July 3, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1986.

Betty was a graduate of Quincy High School and was a long time member of Cedar Crest Country Club. She enjoyed golfing, reading and cooking and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren

Betty was employed as a receptionist and medical secretary for Dr. Walter Stevenson for over 20 years until her retirement in 1978.

Survivors include one daughter Diane Boll and her husband Jerry, one son Philip Featheringill Jr. and his wife Nancy both of Quincy; Four grandchildren, Christina Bickhaus and Steven Boll and his wife Kathy both of Quincy, Tara Schneider and her husband Mike of North Haven, CT and Erin Serio and her husband Roy of Lakemoor, IL.; Eight great- grandchildren, Brittany, Kylene and Joshua Boll all of Quincy, Zachary, Ashley and Kimberly Bickhaus all of Quincy, Kayla Serio of Lakemoor, IL and Baylee Schneider of North Haven, CT.; Three sisters in law, Bess Delk andVirginia Hotchkiss both of Quincy and Marjorie Peeler of Springfield, IL and one niece Barbara Ligon of Peoria, IL.
Mrs. Featheringill was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Rev. George Tomko officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00 until time of services at the funeral home.
