BETTY J. LEPPER

Mrs. Betty J. Lepper, 84, of 3722 Ghost Hollow Road, died at 3:25 p.m. Sunday (February 27, 2005) at Blessing Hospital.

Born September 12, 1920 in Quincy, Betty was the daughter of Matthew M. and Grace E. Paydon Wheelen. She married Arthur Lepper Jr. on October 19, 1940 in Palmyra, Missouri. He died February 18, 1987.

Surviving are two nephews, Kent Lepper and his wife Angela of Quincy and Larry Lepper and his wife Jan of Indianola, IA.; and eight great nephews, Tom Lepper, Terry Lepper, Trent Lepper, Brian Lepper, Brad Lepper, Charles Chilton, Kurt Chilton and Larry Chilton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Ronald William Lepper; a sister, Mrs. Frank "Moddie" Frey; and a niece, Mary Ellen Chilton.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 in the Greenmount Cemetery by the Rev. Walter Carlson.

There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside services. The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Melrose United Methodist Church.
