ELIZABETH "BETTY"WISEMAN

Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Wiseman, of Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 524 South 18th, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday (May 16, 2005) at Good Samaritan Home.

Born March 22, 1910 in LaGrange, Missouri, Betty was the daughter of Ben and Elizabeth Waterman. She married Marion Wiseman on December 25, 1930 in the Maywood Baptist Church. He died December 21, 1987.

Mrs. Wiseman was a graduate of Maywood High School. She was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ, Salem Women's Guild and the Fellowship Club of the church. Mrs. Wiseman was a 63 year member and past president of the Eagles Auxiliary.

Mrs. Wiseman had worked at the Montgomery Ward Store in Quincy for several years.

Survivors include a son, Dean Wiseman and his wife Sue of Quincy; two grandchildren, Pamela Tappe and her husband Jim of Fowler, IL. and Curtis Wiseman and his wife Sue of Fenton, MO.; four great grandchildren, A. J. Tappe of Fowler and Emma, Eric and Lydia Wiseman of Fenton, MO.; four nephews, Wayne Waterman of LaGrange, MO., Billy Charles Waterman of Arkansas, Ronnie Waterman and Jimmy Waterman of Wyaconda, MO.; and a niece, Fay Ann Purett of Wyaconda, MO.

Mrs. Wiseman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Nina Ashmore; three brothers, Everett Waterman, Howard Waterman and her twin brother, Bennie Waterman; a niece, Frances Ware; and two nephews, Rev. Donald Waterman and Bobby Waterman.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Wanda Seydel. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
