WILLIAM "BILL" CONNORS

Mr. William "Bill" Connors, 54, of 710 S. 24th St., died at 9:00 a.m. Thursday (November 16, 2006) in his home.

Born November 7, 1952 in Quincy, Bill was the son of Carl L. and Doris Edna Williams Connors. He married Vicky Weber on February 27, 1984 in Pittsfield. She survives.

Mr. Connors was an avid coin collector. He enjoyed driving and loved to travel with his wife in their motor home. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors at his farm with his dog.

Bill and his father owned and operated C.L. Connors & Son Trucking Company. He and his wife also owned many rental properties and were instrumental in forming the Quincy Landlord Rental Association.

Also surviving is a daughter, Angela Monninger and her husband Josh of Elgin, IL.; a son, Michael Connors of Quincy; two step sons, Bradley Lieurance and his wife Amy of San Antonio, TX. and Brian "Bobe" Lieurance and his wife Laura of Payson; six grandchildren, Ashley, Haley and Logan Lieurance, Lucas Lieurance, Josh Mutchler and Khloe Monninger; a sister, Sheila Bonilla of South Carolina; a step brother, Earl Bruce Jr. of Aurora; and various cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter in infancy.

Cremation rites were accorded to Mr. Connors. A memorial service will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in the Vermont Street United Methodist Church by Pastor Lou Zuck.

Visitation will be held Monday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Vermont Street United Methodist Church.
