
CAROL A. HIELAND
Carol A. Hieland 59, of Quincy, died at 11:42 p.m. Tuesday (November 27, 2007) in Blessing Hospital.
Born December 1, 1947 in Quincy, Carol was the daughter of Edgar and Helen Marie Ruffcorn McNay. She married Loren Hieland on June 26, 1965 in Quincy. He survives.
Carol was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ where she and Loren helped with the Saturday Meal Program. She also volunteered at Ellington School and enjoyed painting ceramics and being outdoors tending to her flower garden. Carol's greatest joy came in being a grandmother who loved to watch and spoil her grandchildren and her cocker spaniel, Mazie.
Carol was a devoted homemaker and had also been employed at McNay Trucking for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Loren; her mother, Helen McNay of Quincy; three daughters, Christina Hugenberg of Quincy, Carla Siebers and her husband David of Camp Point, IL. and Cathleen Badgley and her husband Thomas of Liberty; a son, Patrick Hieland and his wife Tracey of Burton, IL.; nine grandchildren, Lucas Hugenberg, Andrew Hugenberg, Adessa Siebers, Adrian Siebers, Levi Siebers, Shane Hieland, Brady Hieland, Madison Badgley and Alex Badgley; four brothers, Jack McNay and his wife Kathy, Jerry McNay, James McNay and his wife Linda and Richard McNay and his wife Patti all of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Wanda Seydel. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Friday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Salem Church Organ Fund or the Blessing Cardiac Rehab Program.
