CHARLES R. "Charlie" BRADLEY

Mr. Charles R. "Charlie" Bradley, 68, of 220 N. 20th St., died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday (December 17, 2005) in Blessing Hospital.

Born March 26, 1937 in Payson, IL., Charlie was the son of Roy Edmond and Mary Jane Kinder Bradley. He married Nola A. Sykes on June 30, 1962 at the Liberty Christian Church in Liberty. She survives.

Mr. Bradley was a member of Park United Methodist Church in Lewistown, MO. He was a past member of the Quincy Shrine Club and Quincy Skeeter Patrol. Charlie was an avid race fan, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Bradley was employed by Thompson Trucking Inc. and Shellman Trucking for many years and then Reichert Trucking of Quincy until his retirement in November of 2004.

Also surviving is his son, Mark Bradley of Quincy; his daughter, Mary Stark and her husband David, and their grandchildren Jacob, Makenzie and Brian Stark, all of Quincy; a very special stepmother, Lorna Bradley of Quincy; four sisters, Shirley Warning and her husband Carl of Quincy, Carol Goodwin and her husband Jerry and Debbie Lenz, both of Liberty and Sharon Read of St. Louis, MO.; a step sister, Jean Rees and her husband David of Quincy; his father in law, Nolan Sykes of Quincy; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Mathew Stark and his mother in law, Analu Sykes.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Sam Smith. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.
