CHARLES J. LEONARD

Mr. Charles J. Leonard, 62, of 2329 South 8th, Quincy died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday (June 20, 2009) in his home.

Born December 18, 1946 in Greeley, Colorado, Charles was the son of Charles and Frances Rogers Leonard. He married Kathy L. Bergstrasser on December 30, 1967 in Quincy. She survives

Charlie was a life member of the Quincy Bowling Association and was very active in several bowling leagues. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan.

Charlie was a bricklayer for over 40 years having owned Town and Country Masonary from 1982 until 2005 when he became employed at the JM Huber Company.

Survivors are his mother Frances Leonard of Quincy; four sons Ron Leonard and his wife Nikki of Spartanburg, SC; Randy Leonard and his wife Amy, and Rick Leonard and his wife Melissa both of Quincy; Rob Leonard and his wife Julie of Hilton Head, SC; Fifteen grandchildren Ronette, Katie, Chandra, Tristan, Evan, Amber, Logan, Ashley, Brooke, Megan, Austin, Abby, Emily, Ashley, and Nathan; two sisters, Shirley Fahy of Durham, MO and Jeanette Watkins and her husband Charles of Quincy; one brother Leon Leonard and his wife Louise of Rochester, IL and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by his father Charles Leonard.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Selves officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening 4:00 until 7:00 and Wednesday morning until time of services.
