CHARLES W. WOODWORTH

Mr. Charles W. Woodworth, 73, of 2515 Northbrook, died at 5:40 p.m., Monday (February 27, 2006) in Sunset Home.

Born February 9, 1933 in Monmouth, Illinois, Charles was the son of Burrell and Margaret Bland Woodworth. He married Patricia A. Trenter on December 17, 1971 in Quincy. She died August 18, 1991.

Charles enjoyed watching many different sports including, Cardinal Baseball, 49er Football and basketball. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid sports card collector.

Mr. Woodworth was employed as a welder for Trinity Industries for 30 years retiring in 1995.

Surviving are four sons, Randy Woodworth, Chris Elder and his wife Betsy and Michael Elder and his wife Michelle, all of Quincy and Matt Elder and his wife Missy of Payson; twelve grandchildren, Amanda and Renee Osmeyer of Payson, David and Ricky Elder, Ashley and Jason Davis, Mandy Keller, Katelynn Elder and Megan Elder, all of Quincy and Blake Hilgenbrinck, Stanley Hilgenbrinck and Annabelle Hilgenbrinck, all of Liberty; one great granddaughter, Jaidyn Davis of Quincy; one brother, Chester Woodworth of Chicago, IL.; three sisters, Margaret Sullivan and Lena Daak, both of Lewistown, MO. and JoAnne McIntyre of Galesburg, IL.; one sister in law, Alice C. Woodworth of Colorado Springs, CO.; one son in law, Wayne Hilgenbrinck of Liberty and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter, Angela Hilgenbrinck and three brothers, James, Edward and Lee Woodworth.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Gary Russell. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.
