
COLLEEN M. WINGET
Mrs. Colleen M. Winget, 73, of St. Vincents Home, formerly of 2929 Whewell, died at 10:02 a.m. Thursday (March 16, 2006) in the home.
Born July 18, 1932 in Quincy, Colleen was the daughter of Ray and Mildred Mileham Mintle. She married Ernest W. Winget on May 13, 1950 in Quincy. He died January 11, 2001.
Colleen was of the Catholic Faith. She enjoyed traveling, going to garage sales, cooking and being with her family. She loved to help others and volunteered at the Senior Center for many years.
Colleen was employed as a clerk and manager for Andes Candies which later became Kirlin's for 30 years and then for Key Rexall in the Quincy Mall for 10 years until their closing. She loved her many customers and friends she helped over the years.
Surviving are three daughters, Judy Smith and her husband Bill and Linda Hamman both of Quincy and Sharon Duss of O'Fallon, MO.; a son, Randy Winget and his companion, Maggie Herndon of Quincy; eleven granchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. She was also a beloved aunt, sister in law, cousin and friend.
Mrs. Winget was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Jeffery Smith; and a brother in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Fuenral Home by Rev. John Kennedy. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Monday until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made the St. Vincent's Home or the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
