
CYRIL J. McNARY
Mr. Cyril J. McNary, 79, of 635 North 64th, Quincy, died at 5:20 a.m. Sunday (January 3, 2010) in Blessing Hospital.
Born March 20, 1930 in Pike County, Illinois, Cyril was the son of Charles and Loretta Pfeiffer McNary. He married Maude L. Dolbeare on December 5, 1950 in Hannibal, Missouri. She survives.
Mr. McNary was of the Methodist Faith. An avid fisherman, Cyril also enjoyed gardening and going to tractor pulls and loved the time he spent with his family. Mr. McNary served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. McNary was a truck driver for Ford Tractor Company and later at Titan Wheel for many years until his retirement in 2000.
Survivors include his wife, Maude; a daughter, Lucinda Hogan of Quincy; a son, Charles McNary of Quincy; two brothers, Mike McNary of New Canton, IL and Paul McNary of Quincy; a sister, Thelma Allensworth of New Canton, IL; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. McNary was preceded in death by his parents; a son in law, Craig Hogan; three brothers, Cletus McNary, Hugh McNary and Alto McNary; and an infant sister, Dorothea McNary.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Morwell. Burial with Military Honors by Pittsfield American Legion Post 152 will be in the Samuel Taylor Cemetery near Rockport, Illinois.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
