CYRUS DEAN WEAR

Mr. Dean Wear, 58, of 821 Shady Acres Lane, died at 6:45 a.m. Monday (January 2, 2006) in his home.

Born July 16, 1947 in Quincy, Dean was the son of Cyrus Lee and Wilma Elizabeth Fusselman Wear. He married Jeanne L. Wright on August 19, 1966 in Macomb, IL. She survives.

Mr. Wear was an avid reader. He loved to fish, play cards and play video games.

Dean served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam retiring after 20 years of service. He was then employed as a distribution clerk for the Quincy Post Office for over 23 years retiring in 2003.

Also surviving are four daughters, Suzanne M. Wear of Quincy, Jeanette E. Korschot and her husband Greg of Quincy, Amy R. Johns and her husband Mark of York, PA. and Sarah M. Wear of Quincy; three grandchildren, Joshua Korschot of Quincy and Cora and Gwen Johns, both of York, PA.; and one sister, Dorothy Hardwick of Quincy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Waneta Claus.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Jerry Harris. Burial with Military Honors by Quincy American Legion Post #37 will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Thursday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
