DAVID A. "PETE" MAGGART SR.

David A."Pete" Maggart Sr., 46, of 2600 Lexi Lane, died at 6:18 p.m. Sunday (November 25, 2007) in his home.

Born March 29, 1961 in Quincy, Pete was the son of Billie K. and Rita Houghton Maggart Sr.

Pete was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to watch his sons and nephews play ball. He loved life and enjoyed having a good time with his family and friends.

Pete was a self employed tuck pointer for many years.

Survivors include two sons, David A. Maggart Jr. and his wife Amanda and Keith Maggart and his girlfriend, Nicole Grotz all of Quincy; two daughters, Tara Maggart and her fiance' Steven Goodwin and Stephanie McKinney and her husband Justin all of Quincy; six grandchildren, Logan Baze, Cameron Maggart, Wyatt McKinney, Walker McKinney, Caleb Goodwin and Nicole's daughter, Hayden Grotz; two brothers, Billie Maggart Jr. and his wife Peggy and Donald Maggart Sr. both of Quincy; two sisters, Sue Butler and her husband Bruce and Theresa Brewer and her husband Troy both of Quincy; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Maggart was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Penny Maggart in infancy.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. George Tomko. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or the family of David "Pete" Maggart.
