DEBRA K. BIAS

Debra K. "Debbie" Bias, 55, of 1023 1/2 South 5th, died at 4:25 p.m. Tuesday (December 11, 2007) at Timber Point Health Care Center in Camp Point, Illinois, following a lengthly battle with cancer.

Born August 22, 1952 in Rockford, Illinois, Debbie was the daughter of William "Bill" and Julia "Jackie" Wingerter Platt Sr. She was married to Otis Bias Sr.

Debbie enjoyed playing darts and billiards and was an avid Nascar fan. She loved cooking for and taking care of her family which included her dog, Buddy and her cat, Baby.

Debbie worked for many years at Ember's Tavern and the Quick Stop at 6th & Broadway and most recently worked at the County Market Express at 8th & York.

Survivors include her mother, Julia Wingerter-Rink of Quincy; a daughter, J J Magliocco and her husband Peter of Quincy; two sons, Jamie Bias and Otis Bias Jr. and his life partner, Alisha Oberdahlhoff both of Quincy; five grandchildren, Jazmyn Bias, Jenae Bias, Alexis Bias, Jacob Bias and Anthony Poulter; three brothers, Joe Platt and Jaime Platt both of Quincy and David Platt of Maywood, MO.; three sisters, Susie Hampton and her husband Tod of Jackson, MO., Sherry Young and her husband Chet and Lori Spilker and her husband Rob both of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Bill Platt; twin sons in infancy, Tracy and Stacy Bias; and a nephew, Jacob Platt.

Cremation rites have been accorded to Debbie. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Pastor Jennifer Will.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.
