DELLA MAE TOURNEAR

Della Mae Tourmear, 66, of Mt. Sterling, formerly of Quincy, died at 10:57 p.m. Wednesday (April 26, 2006) in Blessing Hospital.

Born January 19, 1940 in Bethel Township near Kingston, Della was the daughter of John D. and Sylvia Diehl Sparks.

Mrs. Tournear enjoyed crocheting, cooking and gardening. She was employed as a CNA for Lincoln Hill for three years and later worked at Sears in Quincy. She also ran a daycare in her home in Quincy.

Surviving is a daughter, Sylvia Ingram and her husband Billy of Camden, IL.; two sons, Scott Alexander and his wife Laura of Quincy and Jeffery Alexander and his wife Gaylene of Utah; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Lawrence Sparks and his wife Judy of Quincy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Vernon, Kenneth, Robert and Cyrus Sparks; and a sister, Iola Bader.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Jeff Alexander. Burial will be in Kingston Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Friday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
